Sitting in the center of Savannah's Victorian District, Station 5 has been in the forefront of protecting many of Savannah's historic buildings - and history.

In conjuction with Station 3 and Station 2 (when Station 2 was located on North Martin Luther King Blvd.), the firefighters of Station 5 were the first line of defense when fire threatened to destroy the early residences and businesses built during the Colonial period of Savannah.

Today, Savannah firefighters still stand ready to preserve the lives and property of the citizens and vistors to City of Savannah - the First City of Georgia.
