The firefighters pictured to the left (from left to right) are Firefighter Glen Goody, Captain Holt Coursey, and Master Firefighter Mike Curry of Engine 10 C Shift.

Captain Coursey comes from a family of Savannah firefighters with two uncles having served in the Department, both of whom rose to the position of captain, also.

I had the distinct pleasure of serving with Captain Coursey in the Rescue 1. At the time he was a Master Firefighter and I was a fairly new captain. Fortunately, he didn't let my big head get in the way of teaching me what he knew about vehicle extrication.
