The Foundation provides funding and fire fighting equipment to the Department through a formal, yet simple, funding request process. Members of the Department initate the process through the Departments chain of command who review the application.

Department approved applications are then submitted to the Foundation's Board of Directors for review. The Board of Directors will notify the Department of the approval or denial of the application. Applications can be either fully or partially funded.

Our central goal is to provide much needed public safety equipment and training to the Department without creating any additional burden on Savannah's tax payers. Maintaining a well trained and equipped fire department is imperative to continue to provide high quality emergency response to help Savannah citizens and vistors in their hour of need.
